Albany-- Deerfield-Windsor has had some very talented running backs in the last decade, and senior Jonathan Siskey is continuing that tradition for the Knights this season.
Dr. Glenn Williams of the Orthopaedic Associates, the Spine and Brain center presented Jonathan with this week's high school player of the week award.
Last week, Jonathan Siskey ran for 156 yards and two touchdowns in the Knights win over crosstown rival Sherwood Christian. For the season, Jonathan has rushed for over eight hundred yards as the Knights are six-one and one.
Jonathan says the credit for his performance goes to his teammates who were blocking for him. "Anytime you play Sherwood it is a big game. The cross-town rivalry is good. It is a good for everybody to have that and to have that against them, to have it, to do it was just awesome."
Jonathan Siskey is also the student body president at Deerfield-Windsor who will host John Mil ledge on homecoming tomorrow night at Webb Stadium.
