MACON, Ga. (AP) _ Antwaun Andrews ran for 114 yards with two touchdowns to help Albany State to a 37-to-19 victory over Savannah State today. The Golden Rams (6-0) took a 14-nothing lead in the first quarter when Alvin Jackson caught a 27-yard pass from Uyl Joyner.
Dontre Williams scored on a 4-yard run. Americus native Clyde Tullis, who completed 16-of-26 for 144 passing yards, threw a 14-yard touchdown to Deon Whiteside and a 7-yard score to Trevi Stricklen as the Tigers (1-3) cut the lead to 14-to-12.
But Andrews responded with two touchdown runs to put the Rams 15 points ahead. Joyner completed 14-of-24 for 220 yards with a touchdown, and Williams had a 6-yard run in the fourth for Albany State.
Tullis ran for 117 yards on 14 carries, and Myshun Mcalpine added 82 yards rushing for the Tigers.
