Kenneth Carl Johnson, 88 of Albany, died Thursday, October 7, 2004 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 1, 2004, at Crown Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Ben Corley will officiate.
A native of Warren County, Indiana, Mr. Johnson had lived in Albany for many years and was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II as a ground and flight instructor. He also worked in Danville, IL, Attica, IN, and at DAR Tech here in Albany as a flight instructor. He was general manager and vice-president of Albany Air Service and Gray Air Service, was a certified FFA Flight Examiner and a member of OX5 Club of America.
Survivors include his wife, Marie S. Johnson of Albany; a son, Col. Kenneth C. Johnson, Jr. (USAF, Retired) of Palm Bay, FL; two daughters: Cindy D. Johnson of Shelburne Falls, MS, Carol A. Zoellick, Leesburg, GA; two granddaughters: Shannon Johnson and Erin Zoellick; a grandson, Eric Zoellick; two great-grandchildren ; Kaitlyn Cheyenne Cook and Kylie Leigh Ann Cook; and a sister, Helen J. Larrabee and her husband Sylvester of Sebring, FL.
