Hahira - A wish was granted for one South Georgia family Friday night.

The Ferrier family got an extreme home makeover. While they've been away on vacation for the past week and a half, volunteers with the Carpenter's Helpers group totally gutted their home and gave it a brand new look.

The single father and his four kids were so surprised, they could barely speak. "Wow, I"m shocked, surprised obviously, this is cool," said David Ferrier.

The Ferrier's have been renting the home and tonight the landlord handed over the ownership to them.

David's mother also flew in from Virginia to surprise the family.
