Lake Park - He sings, he acts, and he dances.

Fourteen-year-old Clayton Griffin is well on his way to becoming a star. "I love acting, that's what I want to do," said Clayton.

And he's already made a name for himself in Los Angeles. "There are special auditions that come along and this one looked really good for me so I thought it would be perfect," said Clayton.

Clayton was one of eight kids from around the country picked to audition for the part of Danny Partridge on VH1's new Partridge Family remake. And he's a perfect pick for the job, since he looks almost identical to a young Danny. "Other friends called me and said you're crazy not to do this because he looks perfect for it," said Clayton's Mom, Elaine.

"I met a lot of cool people and made some new friends," said Clayton. New friends like the real Danny Partridge, Danny Bonadeuce. "We went over to his house and played pool, went swimming, and ate pizza," said Clayton.

Clayton made it through 10 rounds of grueling auditions, but ended up coming in 4th place. "I'm a little disappointed that I didn't win, but also, 4th in the nation is pretty good," said Clayton.

But don't think its the end of the road for this rising star. Clayton's already sent another audition tape to L.A. for a part in the re-make of "The Bad News Bears."
