Best Buy opens in Valdosta

October 8, 2004

Valdosta - A new business is bringing more jobs and new shopping to one South Georgia town.

Best Buy opened its doors in Valdosta Friday. The 20,000 square store employs about 80 people and features the top names in electronics. They'll be offering several grand opening specials throughout the weekend.

"We sell a lot of products, like computers, desktops, digital cameras, cell phones, and we try to sell those products to the community while actually make it fun and easy for the customer to use," said Steve Sager, Store Manager.

As part of their grand opening, Best Buy donated $10,000.00 to the United Way of Lowndes County.

The store is located in the Promenade Plaza on Norman Drive.
