Albany-- A Turner Job Corps student collapsed and died on campus Wednesday evening.
Eighteen-year-old Obadiah Windom was lifting weights at the campus gym. After finishing his workout, he began to have, what authorities say appeared to be, seizures outside the gym.
"I understand that he did have a heart condition that the center was not aware of," said Turner Director Jennifer Young "He had only been with us for eight days."
Windom stopped breathing and CPR was administered until paramedics arrived. The young man was pronounced dead at Phoebe Putney Hospital.
Students traumatized by Windom's death are receiving grief counseling on campus.
