Newton-- The Georgia Peace Officers Standards and Training Council has released their decision on the Baker County Sheriff's police certification.

POST council members are recommending the revocation of Sheriff Isaac Anderson's certification. The council started investigating Anderson last year when he was indicted on federal conspiracy charges. He was found not guilty.

Anderson has a chance to appeal the POST recommendation. If Anderson loses his certification, that will take away his police officer duties, including arrest powers.

Anderson faces re-election on November 2nd.
