Albany- Dozens of women, including some breast cancer survivors attended the Women's Health Summit Saturday in Albany.

Doctors briefed the women about the latest treatment methods which include getting rid of the cancer without a mastectomy.

"Some of the old ways of treating breast cancer have really fallen away and one of the things that I try to pioneer and have in my practice is that of doing less surgical treatment for breast cancer even though we can have the same outcomes," says Dr. Scott Davidson.

October is national breast cancer awareness month.
