Lee County -- A woman was killed Monday morning when her car hydroplaned on a rainy South Georgia Road.

The wreck happened on North Smithville Road, near Dixie Road just before ten.

40 year old Folajimi Eugene-Ganiga's car hydroplaned and hit a pine tree on the driver's side door.

A huge oak tree at Gillionville Road and Baldwin Drive fell onto a pump station, knocking it out. The park beside the road filled with water during the heavy rain.

City crews cut the tree, so that the pump could be repaired. Jobs like this kept crews busy. "We started about three o'clock this morning. We've had about 12 or 13 trees go down. We're just trying to keep caught up," said Albany Street Maintenance worker Stacey Rowe.

There were reports on trees and limbs down across Albany, but no reports of injuries.
