Decatur County - A south Georgia county administrator announces his resignation.

Decatur County Administrator Alan Thomas voluntarily resigned.

The county commission has been under the spotlight after a grand jury found 11 things wrong with the commission, including private discussions at a restaurant with county-paid lunches, failure to record minutes and confusion around the county administration's duties.

Thomas says his decision to resign is because of personal reasons and not the grand jury investigation.

Thomas' termination will begin December 15th.

The board answered six out of 11 Grand Jury findings because of time constraints.
