Tifton -- Police in Tifton are looking for a man who robbed a women and then beat her so severely that she lost a part of her ear. Police were called to an apartment on North Park Avenue in Tifton Monday morning when neighbors heard yelling.

Police found 25-year-old Marycel Anderson screaming and badly beaten. The woman told police she was robbed and beaten with a pistol. A neighbor says it was a terrifying ordeal.

"The guy was in front of her telling her to come on and shut up because she was making a lot of noise. I ran back to pick up my phone and gun, then I dialed 911,"says Landlord, Hattie Meriwether.

Anderson was treated for her injures at Tift Regional Hospital and released. Police have several suspects but have made no arrests.
