Thomasville - It takes 24 hours to process every blood donation. If you wait until a need arises, it could be too late.

A blood drive was held in Downtown Thomasville Tuesday. The Southeastern Community Blood Center is in desperate need of donations due to the recent storms. Donor Victoria Knight says, "To help the people that were hurt from the storms and stuff, I give every eight weeks."

Some blood drives have been cancelled due to Hurricane Ivan. However you can still donate at the Southeastern community blood center on Pinetree Boulevard in Thomasville between 9 AM and 6 PM.
