Albany-- Florida evacuees have wiped out generator supplies in South Georgia. Major home improvement chains are sold out from Georgia all the way to Mississippi.
We found two 1,000-watt generators at Westover Lawn and Garden in Albany. These Honda generators can power up cell phones, computers, blow dryers, radios and televisions.
"Primarily our customers have been Floridians who are up here evacuating," said store owner Jesse Way.
Westover Lawn and Garden sold 35 generators last week. Jesse Way says he tried to order more Honda generators for future evacuees, but his supplier is out. Honda sent five truck loads of generators to Florida last week.
