Albany - After their first ever win over Valdosta State, not even the deluge of rain from Tropical Storm Frances could dampen the spirits of the Albany State football team.
However, the weather is hindering Albany State's preparations for another big game this Saturday.
The Albany State football team working out indoors for a second straight day as they prepare for their first road trip of the season.
The Golden Rams head to the bluegrass state this weekend to face Southern Intercollegiate Athletic conference rival Kentucky State.
The Thorobreds are the last team to have beaten Albany State and have won three of the last four meetings in this series.
The players say the indoor workouts will improve their mental focus for Kentucky State but their coach would rather be outdoors.
Head coach Mike White said "It definitely hurts your preparation because you can't get on the field. You don't have the distance and there is no contact but on the other hand it does give us time to heal up."
Albany State and Kentucky State will play at 1:30pm Saturday in Frankfort Kentucky.
