Tift County- The heavy rains and strong winds knocked down an oak tree to fall on 10th Avenue.

It crashed down on Ray Marino's pick-up truck.

"We were inside watching a movie when we heard a boom and we said something's happened here. We went looking around and I said oh my pickup. I parked there so it'd be safe, but it still got it," says Marino.

Just a few blocks away on Davis Avenue a pine tree toppled and ripped power lines. Many customers in the area were already without power when it happened.

The Tifton Georgia Power office says nearly 2,500 customers in there area lost power Monday. They say customers should expect outages throughout the night.
