Albany-- The Westover Patriots have started the season 2-0 and a big reason why has been the play of junior running back Tony Reid.
Tony Reid's performance in last week's win at Mitchell-Baker earned him this week's WALB-Orthopaedic Associates and the Spine and Brain center player of the week honors.
Physical therapist Julie Scott making the presentation to Tony who rushed for 320 yards on 28 carries and scored two touchdowns last Friday night.
Tony, who has rushed for more than five hundred yards in two games, says the real credit goes to those who were blocking for him. "My offensive line and fullback; they were just awesome. Opened up holes, setting good blocks and timing it when they needed to."
Westover has an open date this week. The Patriots will host Lee County next Friday.
