Thomasville - The Thomas County Humane society will open an emergency pet shelter, if necessary, Saturday afternoon at the Thomasville Fair Grounds. When owners bring their pets, they should bring along food and medications.
Beth Graham from the Humane Society says, "Bring food, for a couple of days, if they can. If they have crates or carriers that they can put their animals in, to please bring those, medications, shot records."
Household pets will be welcomed, as well as livestock and exotic animals. To learn more, contact the Thomas County Humane Society.
