Walking for memories

September 1, 2004

Albany - Walkers are needed to raise money to find a cure for Alzheimer's Disease. The Albany chapter of the American Alzheimer's Association is holding a Memory Walk on October 9th. You can walk alone or with a team of friends.

"Money goes to research and the programs we offer for care-givers and their families," said Nancy Goode. "Research is so important because we've come so far. We may know how to prevent Alzheimer's disease within the next 10 years which is so exciting."

The Alzheimer's Association hopes to raise about $80,000. To find out more call the association at 229-888-7676.
