Albany --- The Republican candidate in the Second District Congressional race is demanding a debate with Representative Sanford Bishop, but he hasn't gotten a response.

Dave Eversman handed out ice cream cones at the Albany Dairy Queen this morning, saying he is ready to "Cream" Bishop in a debate. Eversman said "Work with me to coordinate our schedules so that we may debate the issues for the sake of the people of Southwest Georgia. I will debate you any time, any place, any where."

Eversman lives in Columbus and headed the Southwest Georgia Chamber of Commerce for four years.
