Americus-- Some South Georgia firefighters are filling their boots with lots of cash.

But, it is not for them.

Americus firefighters are standing outside Wal-Mart, asking shoppers to take part in the "Fill the Boot" campaign for Muscular Dystrophy.

These firefighters know how to raise money. Fire captain Al Erkhart says, "We always get a printout of how the other cities and counties do and we are within the top ten every year."

They expect to raise more than $10,000 dollars by the end of the campaign. The firefighters will be standing outside Wal-Mart through Saturday.
