Valdosta - America's favorite discount store is expanding in one South Georgia town.

A second Wal-Mart Supercenter is now open on Norman Drive. The 218,000 square foot facility is one of the biggest in the state and took about seven months to build.

About 280 employees moved in from the old Wal-Mart on St. Augustine Road, and about 260 new workers were hired.

"It's so nice, it's much bigger and the people are very nice in there," said Sandra Worsham, Shopper. "You can get your eye glasses, groceries, medicine, and a lot of stuff in there, like a one stop shop."

The store is offering several grand opening specials throughout the week. It's open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
