Crisp County -The Family Violence intervention program was launched through the Crisp County District Attorney's office, and is designed to prevent chronic battery in the home.

The program takes twenty-six weeks to complete and works on keeping families safe and together.

Victim Advocate Colin Scott explains "It's a problem that's more domestic than it is criminal in nature. It deals with issues of people struggling for power and control in a relationship."

Scott says battery behavior develops in patterns. He hopes this program will catch many of those patterns in an early stage to eliminate further abuse.
