Albany- Raising children isn't easy for anyone and parents need support.
That's why moms at Gillionville Baptist Church are beginning MOPS or mothers of pre-schoolers.
They held open house for the program Tuesday night. Having a pre-school aged child is the only requirement to join. The moms will get together once month to share parenting tips.
"Women need a night out. Moms need a break. Moms need to fellowship with other moms and go through the troubles that they have. There are trials and tribulations. Just someone to listen to what moms go through," said Lisa Burke, one of the group's founding members.
Childcare will be provided at the meetings. They'll hold registration Sept. 11 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the church.
