Valdosta - The NGA Hooters Tour has added a second south Georgia date to its schedule.
The inaugural Langdale Ford Championship will tee off the week of September 13th-19th at the brand new Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta.
The almost 7800 yard layout designed by Davis Love III is expected to provide quite challenge for the future PGA stars who are fine tuning their game on golf's third biggest tour.
Kinderlou hopes that when the current members of the Hooters Tour move on to bigger tours that they will be returning to Valdosta for even bigger tournaments.
Kinderlou Forest Golf Pro Jim Bishop said "Hopefully this will be an eye opener to attract something, a bigger event at a later stage as we keep growing at Kinderlou Forest.
NGA Hooters Tour tournament director Todd Barbee said "But when you play a golf course the caliber of Kinderlou it separates the guys. They have to think a little more. Alot more shotmaking and strategies are in effect and it really does separate the field."
There will be three pro-ams at the Hooters Tour Langdale Ford Championship prior to the first round on September 16th with the final round on Sunday the19th.
Todd Barbee also says that the Hooters Tour is planning to return to Albany's Stonebridge Golf Club in late March of next year.
