Ocilla- 31 year old Floyd Nixon, of Abbeville, didn't stop during a routine traffic check Friday night.

He lead Irwin County deputies and Ocilla Police officers on a 30 minute chase before crashing his pick-up truck into a column at front entrance of the Irwin County Hospital Emergency Room.

Hospital employees say they were shocked to see and hear what happened.

"He was sitting at the desk in there and just heard all this commotion and saw some blue lights out in the parking lot and came to see what was going on. He said it was like something you would see on T.V." says nurse Donna Sumner.

Nixon suffered minor injuries during the crash. He is expected to face several felony charges for damaging property and a number of traffic violations.
