Tifton- Organizers spent the day decorating for the 6th annual Tift Regional Medical Center Women's Event.

"Chicken Soup for the Soul" author Marci Shimoff will be the featured speaker. There will also be a brunch, more than a dozen information booths, free health screenings, and even a cruise give-away.

"We do want women to come out and at least take three hours out of their busy schedules to just focus on themselves, and not worry about their kids, their friends, their parents, or spouses. So, it will be a great day to just enjoy the girls' company," says Stacey Beckham

The Women's Event is free. It will be held Saturday at the Tift County High School Performing Arts Center from 9 AM to noon.
