Lowndes County - A South Georgia organization is providing food and water for victims of Hurricane Charley.

America's Second Harvest Food Bank in Valdosta has already shipped more than 22,000 pounds of supplies to people in Florida. More will be sent in the coming weeks, and they're still in need of dry goods.

"We need can goods, anything you can buy off the dry grocery shelf, crackers, peanut butter, jelly, soups, things like that," said Will Robinson.

The food bank also supplied local shelters in Valdosta with about 2,000 pounds of food last weekend.
