Americus - Southland Academy will open the 2004 high school football season on the road and not at home as originally scheduled.
The Raiders game will be played at Stratford in Macon on Friday night and will kick off at 8:00pm.
Southland head coach Jack Harris says Hurricane Charley is partially to blame for the schedule switch.
Harris said work to repair a light pole at Raider Stadium has not been done as planned because of the need for utility crews in Florida to restore power in areas that were hit by the deadly hurricane.
