Leesburg-- A man initially disqualified from the Lee County Sheriff's race will be on the ballot in November.

Albany convenience store owner Jimmy Kerfoot got enough signatures to make it onto the ballot as an Independent, "Democrat, Republican, it doesn't matter, I'm Jimmy Kerfoot and I will be this way for the rest of my life, so I want them to vote for me, the person, instead of the party."

Kerfoot is challenging longtime Sheriff Harold Breeden.
