Albany-- We've heard the dangers of parents letting infants sleep in the bed with them. It's too easy for an adult to roll over the crush a baby.
That's what happened at a mobile home on Johnson Road in Albany. Around 3:30 Wednesday morning, the grandmother awoke to check on the nine-month-old.
She found the baby face down in the bed with 25-year-old Alfred Jones, her father, asleep on top of her.
The home did not have a crib and the baby's 17-year-old mother was not at the house. The autopsy concludes that the child died of suffocation.
