Dougherty County - County commissioners want changes at the intersection of Nelms Road and U.S. 19 south of Albany. The busy intersection was the sight of a deadly wreck Tuesday. 42 year-old Catherine Free pulled out in front of a car at that intersection. She died the next day.

County Commissioner Jack Stone says something needs to be done at the dangerous intersection. "We need a caution light out there, not a red light. I'm going to try to see if the state will put up a light out there. We've had two fatalities there in about a year, and something needs to be done," said Stone.

Commissioners plan to ask the traffic engineering department to survey the intersection to see if a caution light is needed.
