Savage commits to Auburn

August 12, 2004

Albany - Westover's Aairon Savage is headed to Auburn University after his high school playing days are over.

Savage, who plays receiver and defensive back for the Patriots, committed to the Tigers on Tuesday night.

Aairon, whose older brother Antwone played for the national champion Oklahoma Sooners, says he picked Auburn because it was close to home and the University offers his intended major which is physical therapy.

Auburn is recruiting Aairon Savage as a cornerback.

Aairon says he was also considering Clemson, Vanderbilt, Louisville, Middle Tennessee State and Duke.
