Doctors celebrate 50 years of good health

August 8, 2004

Albany -- Three doctors responsible for more than 50 years of good health in South Georgia celebrated a birthday Sunday.

Doctors Charles Hollis, Thomas Johnson and Dempsey Guillebeau came to Albany almost a half century ago and started what is now Albany Internal Medicine .

AIM 's doctors were among the first in the area to specialize in cardiology.

"It was a great time, we came in as young doctors and we got to know a lot of people and had a great time," says Dr. Thomas Johnson.

Over the 50 years, the practice has grown from 3 doctors to more than 12.
