Albany -- South Georgia's blood supply is still critically low. The Red Cross is pleading for donations from people with O-Negative blood type.

O-Negative is the universal donor which can be given to people with both A and B blood types. Dozens of shoppers at Albany Mall donated blood Saturday.

"This is my first time giving blood. I usually back out of it when I'm back home in New Jersey. Today I decided I wanted to help save some lives," says donor Eva Gilbert.

Each donor received a free Atlanta Falcons T-shirt and was entered to win Falcons tickets and other prizes.
