Cuthbert- Many people in the Cuthbert area recently lost their jobs in closings of plants such as Columbia Forest Products.

Mayor Willie Martin says there are no sure signs of job growth right now, but the city and county are working hard to attract new businesses. The Randolph County school system is the largest employer in that area.
