Camilla-- A man convicted of two separate killings has filed a motion for a new trial.
Thirty-two-year-old Willie Fred Bell was convicted last year of stabbing and killing 79-year-old James Crosson of Camilla in 2001. Bell claims evidence was isufficient and he had an ineffective attorney.
Bell was sentenced to life in prison, but was already serving a life sentence for stabbing to death Arthur J. Brown, Junior.
A new trial hearing was scheduled yesterday, but will be moved to a later date.
