Colquitt County - A man suspected of manufacturing methamphetamine is behind bars.

Twenty-four-year-old Derek Hiers of Colquitt County is charged with violation of a Georgia controlled substance, but he's expected to be indicted for manufacturing methamphetamine.

A tip led police to the meth lab behind a home on Thigpin Trail.

Hiers' bond is set at $10,000. The meth found at the lab was worth approximately $9,200.
