Thomas County - Since January, police around South Georgia have been working to nab the burglars. They were breaking into stores, taking cash and cigarettes. Tonight, police believe they have the men behind bars.

Thomas County Magistrate Court was busy Wednesday. Seven men, ranging in age from 17-22 were in court for burglary. All of those men would hear the words "Court denies your bond."

Around 3:30AM Wednesday, Xavier Bridges, Jeffery Butler, Darius Cobb, Frank Downs, Anterrio McIntyre, Timothy Rhodes and Cedric Thomas, all of Moultrie, were seen speeding down highway 19. That was just minutes after the Quick buys convenience store in Ochlocknee was burglarized. Aden's convenience store in Pelham was also broken into.

Lt. Tim Watkins with the Thomas County Sheriff's Office says, "Inside the cars we found seven suspects and all the clothing that was used by the suspects at the burglary in Ochlocknee and also in Pelham."

And investigators believe the suspects are responsible for other burglaries as well. "We think they are responsible for the windows and the hole in the wall," says Watkins. "We think actually they progressed from the hole in the wall, because it was such hard work, they just smashed the windows in."

Some of the suspects have admitted to the break ins that occurred last night, but are denying involvement in any other burglary. Investigators surveillance video will prove they are all guilty as charged. Only one of the men, Timothy Rhodes has been convicted in a burglary before.
