Valdosta - Valdosta State players reporting to campus for the start of fall practice on Thursday.

Three Blazers were named to the Gulf South Conference preseason squad Tuesday.

Offensive lineman Torrey Howard and defensive ends Derrick Hill and Tim Thompson were named to the first team.

 Valdosta State, who had a streak of three straight conference titles stopped last year by North Alabama, was also picked by league coaches last week to win the Gulf South Conference crown this season.
