Valdosta - A South Georgia man is arrested for holding up two businesses at gunpoint.

Both Sonic drive-ins in Valdosta were robbed Monday night. Around 11:15, three men walked into the West Hill Avenue location armed with a nine millimeter handgun and demanded money. About an hour later, two men robbed the Bemiss Road location.

Investigators arrested 19-year-old Jamaal Boykins-White and expect to make more arrests. "We believe that both of the robberies are going to be connected, its just a matter of collecting all the evidence and analyzing what we have," said Sgt. Steve Owens. "We have recovered some money and some other items, one of the handguns and some of the clothing."

The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash from the businesses. No employees were injured.
