Albany -- Members of an Albany church marched towards a major mile stone Sunday.

Some 200 members of the Trinity Metropolitain Baptist Church marched more than a mile from their church's old location on Wille Pitts Jr. Street to their new church on West Gordon Avenue.

The church's pastor says the march signifies a new chapter in their history.

"We are marching like the people of Israel marched to God's place of prominence," says Dr. Joseph Howard pastor of the Trinity Baptist.

The new church is more than ten times larger than the old building. It will also house the Trinity Learning Institute a Christian elementary school.
