Moultrie- Police aren't releasing their names, but say a couple started fighting at their First Avenue duplex Friday night.
Police say when the man put his hands around the woman's neck, her son grabbed a gun.
"The son gave warning, let my momma go, let my momma go, and he did not let his mother go, so he fired a warning shot in the air. After that he shot him," says Sgt. Bruce Hamm of the Moultrie Police Department.
No charges have been filed. The case is still under investigation.
