Albany- Voters will return to the polls August 10th to settle runoff races, and one of those will be between Democrats Denise Majette and Cliff Oxford for Georgia's open U.S. Senate seat.

Some South Georgia community and religious leaders want people to know they're supporting Majette.

They gathered in Albany Friday in front of the Dougherty judicial building to rally voters to send the Congresswoman to the U.S. Senate.

"This group is standing here today to affirm and to confirm our belief in her candidacy. We're asking Majette to come forth and run this race, said Albany City Commissioner Henry Mathis."

Majette will be in Albany on Monday.
