Albany -- An East Albany house was torched.

The fire on Owens Drive was discovered just before six Friday morning. Arson investigators say someone broke through the back door and used gasoline to start the fire.

Deputy Chief James Carswell of the Albany Fire Department said "The person breaking into the house took the gas can inside and set the bed on fire with the gasoline."

The home was the former parsonage of the Albany Full Gospel Tabernacle.

Ronnie Brown owns it now and uses it as rental property.
