Ben Hill-- Fitzgerald school officials are searching for a new Principal after the old one resigned amid controversy over a bogus degree.
Former Principal David Mims turned in his resignation after the State Professional Standards Commission revoked his teaching certificate.
Mims was caught up in a state-wide scandal involving nine other Georgia educators who earned on-line degrees from St. Regis University in Liberia.
Until a new principal is found, former Ben Hill Primary Principal Nancy Whidden will serve as interim principal.
