Albany - A 19 year-old Dougherty County man is arrested for attacking his father-in-law with a weight bar. Police say Brian Timbes and 41 year-old John Payne were arguing outside a house on Radial Avenue Saturday night. Police say Timbes hit Payne in the face with a weight-lifting bar that was sawed in half.

Payne was rushed to a hospital with facial wounds. Timbes was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with aggravated assault and criminal trespass. He remains in the Dougherty County jail.
