Georgia punter suspended for one game

Athens- Georgia will be using their second string punter for their season opener against Georgia Southern.

Head coach Mark Richt has suspended  sophomore Gordon Ely-Kelso for the Bulldogs first game for violating a team rule.

In his freshman season, Ely-Kelso averaged just under 40 yards a punt and was the Southeastern Conference's special teams player of the week for his performance against South Carolina.

 Junior Lee Jackson is listed as Georgia's second string punter.
