Dooly County-- A man charged with a brutal and deadly attack in Dooly County is in jail tonight.
Authorities caught 21-year-old Terry Nichols near his mother's house in Cordele last night.
Investigators say Nichols broke into a Dooly County mobile home early Monday morning and shot and killed his girlfriend, 22-year-old Brandy Smith. He then shot and wounded her mother, 54-year-old Brenda Jacobs.
Police believe he then took off to Cordele and robbed Shoney's.
He was caught last night outside his mother's house on Oak Avenue in Cordele.
He faces multiple charges in both counties, including murder, robbery, and kidnapping.
