Albany - Dougherty County commissioners are deciding whether to ask voters to pass another Special Local Option Sales tax. Previous SPLOST money paid for projects such as the new Albany Police Department and Central Square Government Complex.

The current $0.01 sales tax will end March 2005. If commissioners hope to continue the sales tax, voters would see the issue on the November ballot. County commissioners made no decision Monday.
